When critical electrical infrastructure fails, every minute of downtime matters. JP Technical Services recently responded to an emergency at an active mining operation after a transformer supplying power to an electric mining shovel failed, bringing production to a halt.
Our team mobilized quickly to transport a backup transformer across the job site so a crane crew could install the replacement inside the substation. Once power was restored, we loaded the failed transformer and transported it back across the mine, where it was safely unloaded onto a skid for inspection and repair.
